The Illinois State University Wonsook Kim School of Art is pleased to announce the opening of this year’s Central Illinois High School Art Exhibition. The exhibition is free and open to the public and will be on view February 4 through February 15 in the Center for the Visual Arts (CVA), room 110 during select hours. An Exhibition Reception and College Fair will take place Saturday, February 15, from 1 to 4 p.m. with awards announced at 3:30 p.m. The reception will take place in CVA 110, with the College Fair located in Transpace (CVA, room 115).
This year’s exhibition includes 200 works by students at 12 Central Illinois high schools. Art teachers submitted their students’ work in nine categories—drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, photography, design, new media, printmaking, and mixed media—for consideration by jurors.

Participating colleges for this year’s College Fair will be the American Academy of Art; Cleveland Institute of Art; College for Creative Studies; Columbus College of Art & Design; Illinois State University Wonsook Kim School of Art; Iowa State University College of Design; Kansas City Art Institute; Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University; Millikin University; Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design; Northern Illinois University; School of Art Institute of Chicago; University of Illinois at Chicago-College of Architecture, Design, and the Arts; University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; and Watkins College of Art.
This exhibition is co-sponsored by the Illinois High School Art Exhibition and the Illinois Art Education Association Central Council.

Friday, February 14 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Public parking is available in the South University Street Parking Deck (600 South University Street, just north of Beaufort Street) for $1 per hour payable at the pay station or by passport parking app. Please note that on weekends, some surrounding red and green surface lots are also free and are marked as such on the signs posted at the entrance of each lot.
