The Illinois State University Planetarium will present Big Astronomy or Astronomia a Gran Escala beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 26, on the ISU Planetarium Facebook page.
The bilingual planetarium show extends beyond the dome with web-based and hands-on resources. Explore world-class observatories, learn why Chile is an ideal environment for astronomy, and meet some of the diverse people who make discoveries in astronomy possible.
The show can be found by searching Facebook for the Illinois State University Planetarium or simply ISU Planetarium.
Big Astronomy will stream four times on September 26. The live stream times, on the Planetarium’s Facebook page, are:
2 p.m. CDT: Big Astronomy streamed in English, immediately followed by a conversation with the production team
4 p.m. CDT: Big Astronomy streamed in Spanish
5 p.m. CDT: Educational activity demonstration – watch on Facebook Live @BigAstronomy
7 p.m. CDT: Big Astronomy streamed in English
9 p.m. CDT: Big Astronomy streamed in English
