The Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) announced the league’s men’s and women’s basketball schedules, consisting of 18 games with a home and away contest with each of the nine other Valley schools. The Redbird men’s squad opens on the road at Evansville on December 30, while the women’s team hosts UNI to begin their conference slate at Redbird Arena on New Year’s Eve (December 31). The regular season conference schedules stretch from the end of December into March, with the 2021 State Farm MVC Arch Madness Men’s Basketball Tournament taking place in St. Louis from March 4-7 and the Hoops in the Heartland Women’s Basketball Tournament set for March 11-14 in the Quad Cities.
Both the Illinois State men’s and women’s basketball teams plan to finalize and announce a non-conference schedule in the coming weeks, set to begin after the NCAA’s November 25 start date and conclude before MVC play begins. Games and TV/radio coverage will be available at a later date.
In accordance with state and local guidelines, fans are not allowed to be in attendance at Redbird Arena for games this winter. However, if guidelines change and a limited number of fans are permitted into the facility, single-game tickets will be made available to season ticket holders, donors, and students on a priority basis. If tickets remain after season ticket holders have claimed theirs, they will be released to purchase for the general public. As a reminder, all tickets for the upcoming year will be delivered via mobile options.
