The Senior Professionals Academy of Seniors and Mornings with the Professors series returns for the spring with virtual classes on subjects ranging from the art and architecture of ancient Italy, to women’s suffrage, to the Founding Fathers and Islam.
The Academy of Seniors classes begin Thursday, January 21, with the art and architecture of ancient Italy. Other classes in the spring semester series will cover women’s suffrage, history and competition in the Horn of Africa, and the evolution of the Bloomington-Normal community. Find out more.
Mornings with the Professors classes begin March 26 with a journey through America’s national parks system. Other classes in the series focus on the professional career of the Illinois Shakespeare Festival’s artistic director, the life of Martin Luther, the Founding Fathers and Islam, and the origins and social meaning of rock-n-roll. Academy of Seniors and Mornings with the Professors are adult-enrichment programs sponsored by Illinois State University’s Senior Professionals organization. Classes are taught by professors from Illinois State University, Illinois Wesleyan University, and by community experts.
