On March 9 and 10, students will have two days with no classes, no assignments, and an opportunity to focus on their own well-being. Well-being can mean a lot of different things depending on who you ask, which is why departments across the University have decided to fill those two days with a variety of events, services, and programs.
These events will provide students time to relax, opportunities to socialize and have fun, chances to learn outside the classroom, and, of course, food. It will be a great way to recharge and rejuvenate, made all the better because spring is just around the corner. Virtual events are available for students who are off campus or would just like to stay in, while safe, physically-distant events are being held at different places across campus.
Some of the events include the following:
- Snack stations on the second floor of the Bone Student Center
- Customized food bowls (meal plan required) at Marketplace at Linkins and Watterson Dining Commons
- Backyard games (KanJam, Spikeball, bags, ladder golf) outside the Student Fitness Center
- Virtual trivia
- Finding Nemo and Pitch Perfect at Braden Auditorium
- Virtual card-making service project
- Virtual talk “Cole & Charisma: Contributing to an Inclusive Student Body”
- Virtual cookies and karaoke
- Virtual cover letter/resume review
- Specialty group fitness classes
- Wellness bags outside the Student Fitness Center
- Tea @ Three at the Student Involvement Center at the Bone Student Center
- Rejuvenation Station with giveaways, food, and more in the Prairie Room at the Bone Student Center
