Illinois State Professor of Economics Dr. Rajeev K. Goel will present “COVID-19 Vaccine Rollout—The Tension Between Scale and Speed and Implications for Corruption” at noon on Wednesday, May 5, for the final event in the Illinois State University International Seminar Series. This free online webinar is open to the public with advance registration.
Goel earned both an M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Houston in Texas. He is a member of the Kiel Institute for the World Economy in Germany and serves on the editorial boards of several economics journals. He has conducted more than 100 professional presentations worldwide in addition to publishing two scholarly books and more than 180 research articles in refereed journals.
His research interests are in public economics, the economics of technological change, and applied microeconomics. Goel is a recipient of the Outstanding University Researcher and the College of Arts and Sciences Distinguished College Lecturer awards at Illinois State University and the Bergson Prize for the best paper published in Comparative Economic Studies.
