On Wednesday, April 14 at noon CDT, the Illinois State University International Seminar Series will focus on COVID 19’s Impact on Education in India: A Case Study. Presented by Thaddeus Herman of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), this free online webinar is open to the public with advance registration.
Herman is a Ph.D. candidate at UIUC with a dual concentration in global studies in education and philosophy of education with a minor in global studies. He focuses on one western Indian school’s response to the pandemic and how the meaning of school has been shaped by its technological response to the exigencies of the time.
The Spring 2021 International Seminar Series, COVID 19: International Perspectives, is a collaboration between the Illinois State University Office of International Studies and Programs and Mennonite College of Nursing (MCN). Series coordinators are MCN Dean Judy Neubrander and Dr. Susana Calderon. The series continues with events each Wednesday at noon through May 5, 2021.
