Choosing to Care: A Century of Childcare and Social Reform in San Diego, 1850-1950 by Kyle Ciani, HIS, was selected by the Society of the History of Children and Youth as part of its featured scholarship series for 2020-2021.
Georgia Tsouvala, HIS, was elected president of the Association of Ancient Historians (AAH) to a three-year term (2020-2023).

Melissa Johnson, ART, presented her paper “A world where the body is as eloquent and articulate as the text: Anne Bogart’s theatrical engagement with the writings of Virginia Woolf,” at the 30th Annual International Virginia Woolf Society.

Matthew Himley, GEO, co-edited with two colleagues from UNC-Chapel Hill, the book, The Routledge Handbook of Critical Resource Geography.
“Play and Society,” a course taught in Creative Technologies by Sercan Şengün, became a book chapter in Teaching the Game: A Collection of Syllabi for Game Design, Development, and Implementation, (Carnegie Mellon University ETC Press).
