David Krueger is retiring from Illinois State University at the end of January after 36 years of service in the Financial Aid Office. A reception in his honor will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Friday, January 28 in the Old Main Room at the Bone Student Center. Members of the campus community are invited to attend.
Krueger currently serves as an associate director in the Financial Aid Office, overseeing the Counseling and Operations areas of the office. His financial aid career began in 1984 when he was a student worker and transitioned to full-time as a counselor in 1987. Over the past 10 years Krueger has also served Illinois State by teaching LinC and Thrive classes and has served on various committees across campus. He and his wife Michele are both proud Illinois State graduates, two of his three children, Kristen Kubsch and Brandon Krueger, are alums, and his third child, August Krueger, is currently a junior at the University. He has truly enjoyed working in the financial aid field and feels Illinois State University has been a wonderful atmosphere to work and learn in. Krueger hopes that over the years he has helped, even indirectly, some students earn a college degree when they otherwise might not have.
Please join the Financial Aid Office at the reception to show appreciation for all that Dave has accomplished on campus and to wish him well in retirement.
