On Wednesday, March 16, from noon–1 p.m. Central Time, the Spring 2022 International Seminar Series, ISU International Engagement, will feature Illinois State University Director of International Admissions Kayla Carroll talking about the current state of international recruitment and admissions. This free Zoom webinar is open to the public with advance registration.

International students are a vital part of our campus community, but international recruitment and admissions present unique challenges. Carroll will shed light on what attracts international students to Illinois State, and how factors such as the global pandemic and global political dynamics have affected international student enrollment. Carroll has a B.A. in history from Truman State and an MBA from Bradley University. She has held the role of director of international admission at Illinois State since June 2018. Before that, she was director of international admissions and student services at Bradley University, an immigration specialist at Illinois State, and an international student advisor at the University of Texas at Austin.

The International Seminar Series is presented by the Office of International Studies and Programs and features a theme each semester. The Spring 2022 series, ISU International Engagement, is focusing on the wide variety of international activities that connect the Illinois State University community to those around the world.

Anyone with questions or requiring an accommodation to participate fully should contact InternationalSeminar@IllinoisState.edu or (309) 438-1651.
