A panel of experts will discuss water priorities and issues for the state of Illinois.
The Center for a Sustainable Water Future at Illinois State University will host the panel, Illinois Water Issues 2022, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, September 9, at the Alumni Center, 1101 N. Main Street in Normal.
The discussion will include emerging and future water issues within Illinois, with a focus on future interdisciplinary research opportunities and collaborations. Panelists will meet in small groups with attendees to discuss future joint projects.
Panelists will include Christine Davis of the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, Bureau of Water; Loren Wobig of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Office of Water Resources; Austin Omer of the Illinois Farm Bureau; Krista Kirkham of the The Nature Conservancy; and Joe Darter of the City of Bloomington, Water Division.
