A panel will discuss issues raised by the recent Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade.
The opening event of the Reproductive Justice Speaker Series will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, September 22 in the Brown Ballroom I in the Bone Student Center at Illinois State University.

The Reproductive Justice Speaker Series, hosted by Illinois State University and YWCA McLean County, is sponsored by the Harold K. Sage Foundation.
“The goal of the event is to bring the ISU and Bloomington-Normal communities together to learn about reproductive justice and destigmatize reproductive rights,” said Dr. Meghan Leonard, a professor of politics and government at Illinois State and one of the organizers of the event.
Panelists will include Leonard; Dr. Kyle Ciani, a professor of history at Illinois State; Mollie Ward, director of spiritual care and co-chair of the Ethics Committee at Carle BroMenn Medical Center and Carle Eureka Hospital as well as a priest in the Episcopal Church; and community member Joan Fee. Guests will also have the opportunity to share their own experiences.
