Honors 
Illinois State University’s Eta Upsilon chapter of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, has been named an Honor Chapter for its exceptional activities in 2021-2022. 

Mary Beth Deline, COM, was awarded a GIFT (Great Idea For Teaching) in the Public Relations Division of the national Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC). The GIFT will be featured in the Journal of Public Relations Education

Thomas E. McClure, POL, was honored by the McLean County Bar Association as the 2022 recipient of the Lincoln Award of Excellence. 

Fred Smith, ANT emeritus, was selected as a National Distinguished Lecturer by Sigma Xi, the scientific research honor society. 

Presentations 
Marta Ascherio, CJS, presented “Challenges and Innovations in Researching Crime, Law, and Deviance” at the American Sociological Association conference 

Beverly Barham and Deborah Johnston, HSC, co-presented “Creating Professional Development Opportunities for Students” at the American Medical Technologists (AMT) Annual Meeting 

Iuliia Tetteh, AGR, presented “Essential skills sought by AG-banking industry” at the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA) conference.
