Rajeev Goel, ECO, was appointed as associate researcher for the Institute for Studies on the Mediterranean (ISMed), National Research Council (CNR), Napoli, Italy.
Doris Houston, Office of the President, was named a recipient of the 2022 Career Achievement Award from the University of Illinois’ College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES) Alumni Association. The award recognizes graduates of the College of ACES for exceptional professional achievement and extraordinary humanitarian contributions.
Fred Smith, ANT emeritus, was selected as a National Distinguished Lecturer by Sigma Xi, the scientific research honor society.
Presentations
Ali Riaz, POL, presented at the Inauguration of the Saxena Center for Contemporary South Asia at Brown University. The two-day event titled “Marginalization and Inclusion in South Asia: Economics, Politics, and Culture” explored economic, political, and cultural aspects of several countries in South Asia.
