The Dean of Students Office is now accepting nominations for the Student Leadership Awards. These annual awards recognize Illinois State University undergraduate students for excellence in student leadership and involvement.
This year’s awards are:
- The Ritamae Carroll Memorial First-Year Involvement Award recognizes a first-year student (freshman or transfer) who is an active member of the Illinois State’s campus community in good academic standing.
- The Mike Schermer Outstanding Student Leader Award recognizes a student who has made significant contributions to the Illinois State community and embodies leadership and excellence.
- The Bill Quigley Leader in Action Award recognizes a student leader with a history of mentoring and guiding fellow students and a passion for creating targeted social change at Illinois State.
Student Leadership Award nominations are due by Friday, February 24. Self-nominations are encouraged. Nominees must be currently enrolled undergraduate students in good academic and disciplinary standing.
Award recipients will receive an engraved plaque, monetary scholarship, and formal recognition at the Redbirds Lead Celebration on Thursday, April 20, 2023. Award descriptions can be found on the Dean of Students Office website.
