TRIBE@ISU will host the NDN Music Showcase with performers Sten Joddi and Bill Buchholtz Allison from 2-6:30 p.m. Monday, February 20, in the Multipurpose Room of the Multicultural Center, 301 S. Main Street, Normal.
The first of TRIBE’s spring ‘23 events, the NDN Musica Showcase engages the ISU community with contemporary popular and local Native American artists. The event is free and open to the public.
Joddi is a Native American hip hop artist and actor. An enrolled member of the Mvskoke Nation of Oklahoma, Joddi plays “Punkin Lusty” in the award-winning TV series Reservation Dogs and recently won the 2022 Best Male Hip Hop Artist Of The Year award at The International Indigenous HipHop Awards.
Allison, a Chicago-based Ojibwe Elder, will play his traditional flute. An expert storyteller, he shares stories of surviving the boarding school era, being adopted into a white family, and reclaiming his identity and roots.

2-3:30 p.m. – Sten Joddi
3:30-5 p.m. – Q&A session with Sten Joddi and free food from A-Z Catering
5-6:30 p.m. – Bill Buchholtz Allison
