The public is invited to a provide input for a re-accreditation on Monday, March 27, to speak about experiences with the Illinois State University Police Department (ISUPD).
ISUPD was first accredited in 2019 by the Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (ILEAP). Part of the evaluation process for re-accreditation includes gathering public input on experiences. The public can send an email message to ILEAP@IllinoisState.edu on March 27.
The re-accreditation process through ILEAP will also include conducting inspections, reviewing files, meeting with University leaders, accompanying ISUPD on their regular patrols, and developing an on-site report.
