The Council of Councils met in early October at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The annual meeting is a gathering of Civil Service Councils from higher education institutions across the state. Representatives from most public universities attended.
The day opened with a keynote speaker, Marc Changnon, followed by speakers representing the State Universities Civil Service System, State Universities Retirement System, State Universities Annuitants Association, and various breakout sessions. Representatives from Illinois State University’s Civil Service Council were: Bob Blythe, chair; Amy Witzig, vice-chair; Hayley Helpingstine, treasurer; Richard Marr, State Universities Civil Service Advisory Committee representative; and Dean Plumadore, council member.
