Honors
Tony Reimer and John Tovar, THD, have been nominated for non-equity Jeff Awards, which celebrated excellence in the Chicago theater. Reimer was nominated for original music for “Melancholy Play” at the Organic, and Tovar was nominated for fight choreography for “The Girl in the Red Corner” at Broken Nose.
Kathryn Jasper, HIS, received the Franklin Grant from the American Philosophical Society. She will use the funds to travel in Italy and visit archives in Florence and Rome. for research on her upcoming book, tentatively titled Bounded Wilderness: Landscape and Land Management within the Congregation of Fonte Avellana, 1035-1393.

Ali Riaz, POL, published “Indo-Bangladesh Relationship: ‘Saath Saath’ (Together) or Too Close for Comfort?” in Indian Politics and Policy Journal. He also presented Reflections on Elections in South Asia at Stanford University. The roundtable was as organized by the South Asia Center and Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research

Jeff Barrett, MAT, co-presented “Middle Grades and High School Students Three-Dimensional Reasoning” at the Research Conference of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics in San Diego, California. He also presented “A Pleasure to Measure: Classroom Activities for Grades K-5” at the Annual Meeting of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
Judy Neubrander, Susie Watkins, and Michelle Woodburn, MCN, presented the poster “Primary Care RN Education Program,” at the Midwest Nursing Research Society in Kansas City, Missouri. Also at the conference, Teresa Novy and Wendy Woith, MCN, presented the poster “Standardizing Communication for Wound Care Patients During Discharge to Home Care;” and Cherill Stockmann was a co-presenter of the poster “Mental Health Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE): A Pilot Study.”
Amy Robillard, ENG, presented “Writing Lives: Memoir in Composition Studies” at the Conference on College Composition and Communication in Pittsburgh.
