Demolition of the first floor concourse in the Bone Student Center (BSC) began May 28. The work will include the entire first floor concourse, Braden Box Office, Lobby Shop, University Program Board office, and Printing Services’ satellite location. During the demolition there will be no access to the spaces throughout the entire summer, including many of the meeting rooms on the first floor.
There will be no access to the first floor (center) concourse stairs and elevator throughout the summer. The second and third floors of the BSC will remain accessible throughout the summer by using the stairs and elevator on the east side of the building. For events held inside the Brown Ballroom, guests should enter on the west side of the BSC.
The Braden Box Office has relocated to a new location on the east side of the first floor at the Welcome Desk. The Landing will open June 3, and is located at the east end of the first level concourse, next to Starbucks and across from Barnes and Noble at Illinois State University.
During concourse construction, the restrooms between Starbucks and The Landing will remain available, as well as the restrooms on the second floor (east side) and third floors. Access to restrooms on the west side of the first and second floors will vary, but signage will be posted.
