In celebration of the Sugar Creek Arts Festival, the Illinois State University Planetarium will present free shows throughout the day on July 13 and July 14.
Musica: Why is the Universe Beautiful? will be shown at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, and at noon and 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 14. The show centers on the awesome beauty of nature and the common elements hidden in nature and music.
Europe to the Stars will be shown at noon, 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. Saturday, July 13, and at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, July 14. The show will take viewers on an epic journey behind the scenes at the European Southern Observatory, the most productive ground-based astronomical observatory in the world.
The Illinois State University Planetarium is in the Felmley Hall of Science Annex, at the corner of College Avenue and School Street on the edge of Uptown Normal.
