What are your favorite places on campus?
I actually love the hustle and bustle of the Bone Student Center—from my time as a student some 25 years ago to now with the revitalization project. Anytime I get the opportunity to have a meeting in Bone, I spend a little extra time either working at Starbucks or walking through Barnes and Noble. My office is off campus (Gregory Street), so whenever I get the chance to be on campus and among the students and their energy, I take it!
What drew you to run for the Civil Service Council?
It’s something I’ve always been curious about, but it wasn’t until a current member asked if I would run did I take a closer look into the council and decided—why not!
What do you hope to achieve during your time on the Civil Service Council?
I want to continue building relationships and friendships across campus as well as be a voice for those in Group 4.
Favorite Redbird event or pastime?
As a student I marched with the Big Red Marching Machine and loved every minute of it! As an Alumni I really enjoy Founders Day (especially when I met Jane Lynch) and I also love taking my daughter to the Children’s Holiday Party and seeing my co-workers with their families.

What are your favorite places on campus?
The Quad is always gorgeous. I also enjoy anytime I get to walk from my office in John Green to Linkins, especially during spring when I can stop and watch some Redbird baseball!
What drew you to run for the Civil Service Council?
After hearing of all the wonderful services, events, and programs that the Civil Service Council hosts, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.
What do you hope to achieve during your time on the Civil Service Council?
I hope to encourage other Civil Service employees to get involved around campus.
Favorite Redbird event or pastime?
Homecoming and all of the events during that week.

What are your favorite places on campus?
Watterson Towers; there is no place else like it in the country.
Do you have any family members who work or attend ISU?
Both my parents retired from ISU, and both they and my brother received degrees from ISU.
What drew you to run for the Civil Service Council?
I ran by request, but have always admired that we have shared governance on our campus.
What do you hope to achieve during your time on the Civil Service Council?
Learn what it does and see where my fit is and what I can do to help.
Favorite Redbird event or pastime?
I work for University Housing Services, so of course my favorite event is move-in!

What are your favorite places on campus?
The park on West Beaufort, Peoples Park. Great place to reflect and think.
Do you have any family members who work or attend ISU?
My son-in-law, Ryan Grahs works at Administrative Technologies.
What drew you to run for the Civil Service Council?
The opportunity to give back to the campus that has been a huge part of my life.
What do you hope to achieve during your time on the Civil Service Council?
To raise awareness and recognition of the many amazing people who work on this campus.
Favorite Redbird event or pastime?
Fall move-in, to see the new crop of Redbirds arrive. It’s exciting to think of what each one brings to the campus and what changes or improvements they bring with them.

What are your favorite places on campus?
Redbird Arena, I am a true basketball fan and spend much time there during the basketball season.
Do you have any family members who work or attend ISU?
I am a proud Legacy of ISU, as my four children (young adults) received their undergrad from ISU and then my son returned and to receive his master’s degree in December 2018.
What drew you to run for the Civil Service Council?
I wanted to become more involved in the campus community, assisting with fundraisers for the Scholarship fund, and the community projects. Serving on the council is a great opportunity for me to volunteer. I empathize with the needs of my fellow civil service colleagues and I understand that the enthusiasm, teamwork, and dedication of all civil service employees directly contributes to Illinois State’s standing as a great university for our students and our community. For the opportunity to act as a voice of my fellow civil service colleagues in determining the needs and plans for our campus.
What do you hope to achieve during your time on the Civil Service Council?
I hope to be influential on the Council by providing a balanced representation of our Civil Service members.
Favorite Redbird event or pastime?
My favorite event at Illinois State University is the Alumni Awards Dinner, held on Founders Day each year. This awards program “personifies the University’s tradition as an environment for excellence.” These alumni are nominated by their peers and/or coworkers. The nominees are alumni who have demonstrated their outstanding achievements in their field and are recognized at the dinner. This event is inspirational and recognizes our alumni who bring honor to Illinois State University.

What are your favorite places on campus?
I love Milner Library because of how much it has helped me with my continued education, the quad, and the Alumni Center.
Do you have any family members who work or attend ISU?
I am the first in my family to go to college and none of my family has ever attended or worked at ISU.
What drew you to run for the Civil Service Council?
I want to take advantage of all of the opportunities ISU has to offer and ensure I can help to make a difference. I want to get the most out of my years here on campus and I just finished my project management certification, and am now starting in the Fall on my Women’s and Gender Studies graduate degree.
What do you hope to achieve during your time on the Civil Service Council?
I truly hope to gain knowledge about the inner workings of the civil service system. I also want to have the opportunity to network, meet new campus partners, and enhance my experience and knowledge of everything surrounding ISU. I would love to take this opportunity to experience as many committees as possible and learn some new skills, assist in areas where I have strengths, and grow my overall business acumen by understanding what the council does. I just want to be a part of something bigger than myself and make a difference.
Favorite Redbird event or pastime?
With four kids, they are all Reggie Kids Club members. I love basketball games, football games, kids club events, and Homecoming! It is a long day, but I get to drive a golf cart around and have a lot of responsibilities so when Homecoming is a success for all, it makes me feel like the team I work with is amazing.
