Illinois State has announced the 2019-20 promotional schedule for the upcoming basketball season. Special game features for the upcoming season are listed below. The complete schedule can be found at GoRedbirds.com.
Wednesday, November 6 vs. Belmont
The 2019–20 regular-season opener brings in NCAA Tournament participant Belmont as the first 700 students through the doors will receive a replica jersey. The game will also be the first of the season with the new Cue Audio Lightshow during the team video introduction. The world-famous Red Panda will be performing at halftime.
Sunday, November 17 vs. UCF
Martial Arts day, including martial arts groups from around the area. There will be special in-game and video board promotions throughout the game.
Friday, November 29 vs. Illinois Springfield
The Black Friday game will feature a $10 100-level (lower bowl) ticket special. The ticket special will be available online, in-person, and over the phone starting on Nov. 6.
Saturday, December 7 vs. Morehead State
Hardly Normal Night will feature ugly sweaters throughout Redbird Arena, including in the student section and on the Redbird bench. At halftime, there will be a cell phone App Trivia game with the lights off.
Tuesday, December 31 vs. UNI
Reggie’s Kids Club Day will feature a comic book theme with superhero characters on the concourse. Reggie’s Kids Club members receive a free ticket, a t-shirt, and additional tickets can be purchased for the game at just $10 for 100-level (lower bowl) and $5 200-level (upper bowl). Registration for the free ticket and giveaway require pre-registration. The ticket special will be available online, in-person, and over the phone starting on November 6.
Tuesday, January 7 vs. Missouri State
Student for a day game, featuring $15 100-level (lower bowl) end zone tickets. The ticket special will be available online, in-person, and over the phone starting on November 6.
Saturday, January 25 vs. Southern Illinois
Social Media day.
Wednesday, January 29 vs. Evansville
AFNI Honor Roll night featuring the halftime AFNI recognition for Redbird student-athletes who achieved a 3.0 or higher GPA in the fall semester.
Saturday, February 8 vs. Indiana State
Taste of Redbirds. The game will also feature special events for those in the Fraternity and Sorority Life system at Illinois State.
Saturday, February 15 vs. Valparaiso
Retro night as Illinois State will have an in-game recognition for Redbird4Life 1,000-Point Club Reunion. High School drumlines students will be able to participate in a pre-game clinic and perform pre-game, in-game, and at halftime.
Saturday, February 22 vs. Drake
Senior Day, as the program will honor Zach Copeland, Ricky Torres, Hank Beard, and Jaycee Hillsman in a pregame ceremony. The game will also feature the Daddy/Daughter Day and Dance Clinic, as the Redline Express Danceline will perform a pre-game dance clinic with participants able to purchase 200-level tickets for just $5 in the end zone. The clinic will cap attendance at 125 participants and will include a meal and in-game performance. Post-game there will be a dance on the court. Wednesday, February 26 vs. Bradley
I-74 Rivalry game will feature national halftime act and Gamma Phi Circus alumnus Cornell Freeney.
