The Illinois State women’s basketball team has announced the promotional schedule for the rest of the 2019-20 season. Details about specific promotions can be found below.
Recycling Night – Wednesday, Nov. 20 vs. Northern Illinois
Help the Redbirds “go green” as they partner with the Office of Sustainability to celebrate the power of recycling.
Fansgiving – Saturday, Nov. 30 vs. UT-Martin
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, Fansgiving is all about celebrating the great fans of Illinois State Athletics. Halftime will feature a teddy bear toss, with all collected toys to be donated to charity.
December to Remember – Wednesday, Dec. 4 vs. Western Illinois
Come celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with the Redbirds! Festive activities will be located on the concourse, including a Santa Selfie Station.
Education Day I – Monday, December 16 vs. Jackson State
Back by popular demand, Illinois State will host local elementary schools for Education Day. Admission is FREE for teachers, chaperones and students, K-5, with registration. Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act will perform at halftime.
Education Day II – Thursday, December 19 vs. Jackson State
After such a successful Education Day last season, there will be not one, but TWO dates this year. Admission is FREE for teachers, chaperones and students, K-5, with registration. The halftime act will be Simon Sez.
Hoops and Heroes (Reggie’s Kids Club) – Friday, January 3 vs. Indiana State
As part of Illinois State Athletics’ Superhero Week, Hoops and Heroes Night will also include a superhero-themed Reggie’s Kids Club giveaway. In addition, local heroes are invited to attend and be honored at the game.
Grandparents Day – Sunday, January 5 vs. Evansville
Celebrate grandma and grandpa by taking them to a Redbird’s women’s basketball game. There will be several activities for grandparents and grandkids to participate in on the concourse.
Pride Night – Friday, January 24 vs. Drake
The women’s basketball team will host their first-ever Pride Night, in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
Cheer Clinic – Sunday, January 26 vs. UNI
Local cheer teams are encouraged to attend this MVC showdown that features a clinic with the ISU Cheer Team.
Pack the Arena – Friday, February 7 vs. Bradley
The I-74 rivalry game with Bradley will feature FREE admission for all fans, with additional giveaways to be announced.
Ballin’ in Love – Friday, February 14 vs. Loyola Chicago
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with the Redbird women’s basketball team! There will be crafts on the concourse and date night concession specials.
Play 4Kay – Sunday, February 16 vs. Valparaiso
ISU will host its annual Play4Kay cancer awareness game, with proceeds going to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
Birds Mean Business – Thursday, February 27 vs. Missouri State
Bring your business cards to this MVC match-up for free admission.
Women Supporting Women & Senior Night – Sunday, March 1 vs. Southern Illinois
On a night celebrating “girl power”, all four Redbird seniors will also be honored: Frannie Corrigan, TeTe Maggett, Megan Talbot and Lexi Wallen.
