With much of the world going online and remote, Illinois State University has been responding in kind. In that regard, Human Resources (HR) recently launched and refreshed some online tools for faculty, staff, and student employees.
Jobs.IllinoisState.edu (ISUJobs)
The ISUJobs application system has undergone a re-platforming and is now being supported by PageUp People. The older platform was close to 20 years old and thanks to help from several departments across campus including Technology Solutions, this new interface allows for an applicant experience that is more device-agnostic, inclusive from a universal design and/or accessibility standpoint, and user-friendly for searching, and applying and sharing openings on and off-campus. Student, staff, and faculty positions are already posted at jobs.illinoisstate.edu for applicants, and training for using the platform is available for managers and department users on the HR YouTube channel.
HR YouTube Channel and online benefits orientation
As less contact was recommended during the summer, benefits services launched a YouTube channel and recorded information about benefits that are available to faculty and staff joining the Redbird team in benefits-eligible positions. The YouTube channel will also offer instructional videos on how to use and access services, as well as linked content to other useful Illinois State University resources.
Summer online training opportunities
Human Resources is happy to announce summer training opportunities are ongoing and being delivered with distancing in mind. Some of the offerings include professional and certified speakers on Strengths Finder, Zoom, investing, recovery/trauma/self-care, and inclusive practices. You can access the lineup and the signup at hr.illinoisstate.edu/programming, and be ensured that your supervisor is aware of your intent to attend one or more of these sessions.
Additional resources
Additional resources to navigate your employment experience this summer and beyond can also be found during this time at the Redbirds Keep Thriving – Faculty/Staff as well as at the University’s COVID-19 Information Page.
