The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University approved an employment contract with Terri Goss Kinzy, who will assume the role as Illinois State’s 20th president on July 1. The contract term extends to July 30, 2025. Kinzy is currently vice president for Research and Innovation at Western Michigan University. She will succeed Larry Dietz, who has served as president since 2014. The full employment contract can be viewed online.
Trustees also approved a performance bonus for President Larry Dietz, who will retire June 30. Trustees approved the amount of $40,000. As stipulated in his employment contract, the payment is based on criteria including President Dietz’s annual performance review and Academic Senate survey results.
