Health Promotion and Wellness and Student Ending Rape Culture will hold a discussion of the film, The Trauma of Wisdom, at 3:30 p.m. October 7 in McCormick Hall, room 183.
The event is free and open to the University community.
Sign up for the event on Redbird Life.
The film explores what it would look like to “live in a trauma-informed society that is not concerned with fixing behaviours, making diagnoses, suppressing symptoms and judging, but instead seeks to understand the sources from which troubling behaviours and diseases spring in the wounded human soul.”
The Putting a Pause on Pop Cultural Scripts series is an interactive “pause and discuss” deconstruction of popular movies and shows in today’s culture. Participants will examine how movies portray topics such as romance, stalking, and masculinity.
