Finalists for the College of Arts and Sciences dean position at Illinois State University will be on campus January 13-21. Each candidate will present at an open forum, which will be streamed on Zoom and recorded. All faculty, staff, and students are invited to participate in meet and greet sessions via Zoom. Dr. Daniel E. O’Sullivan
Dr. O’Sullivan is the chair of Modern Languages at the University of Mississippi. He attended College of the Holy Cross where he earned an A.B. in French. He received a Master of Arts from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He received a Doctor of Philosophy from Boston College.

Dr. Benjamin Rifkin
Dr. Rifkin is a professor of Russian and recently served as dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Hofstra University. He earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Russian and Eastern European studies from Yale University. He received a Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Slavic languages and literature from the University of Michigan.

Dr. Heather Dillaway
Dr. Dillaway is an associate dean in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Wayne State University. She received a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and history from Cornell University. Dr. Dillaway received a Master of Arts in sociology from the University of Delaware and Doctor of Philosophy from Michigan State University.
