The Department of Politics and Government mourns the passing of Michele Ganschow, who worked as office support specialist in the Department from January 1996 to May 2011. Ganschow is remembered as a valued colleague who was always friendly, approachable, and happy to help faculty, staff, and students. Her friendly demeanor and positive attitude were assets to the department for many years.
Ganschow graduated with summa cum laude from Illinois State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.
She is survived by her husband, her father, two sons, a daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will take place at the Ozark House Restaurant, 704 McGregor St., Bloomington on Sunday, June 26, from 2–4 p.m.
