The Department of Psychology presents Alumnus of the Year: Early Career Awardee, Dr. Sarah Gerson.
Gerson received her bachelor’s in psychology from Illinois State University and her master’s and Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Maryland. She is now a senior lecturer at Cardiff University in Wales (United Kingdom). Her research explores how infants and young children learn about and from their social environments using both behavioral and neuroimaging methodologies.
Gerson’s work has been published and presented internationally and has been funded by research councils in the U.K. and industry partners worldwide. Her talk is titled “Gladly we learn to learn: Exploring the origins of social learning” and will be held on Friday, October 14 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in DeGarmo 406.
