It’s that time of year again, when classes begin to wrap up and final exams are on the horizon. Stop by the Student Fitness Center to take advantage of several opportunities to get some relief from the end of the semester stress.
Join us for Finals Rectacular and the perfect study break on Monday, May 4, from noon–8 p.m. and Tuesday, May 5, from 4–8 p.m. Come and go as your schedule allows and join in on the variety of free events to maintain your health and wellness. There will be special fitness classes, games, prizes, and free samples from Jamba Juice. Check the Events section of Campus Recreation website for a complete schedule.
“Finals Rectacular will include active ways to stay stress-free during finals week with the added incentive of winning prizes,” said David Kirk, graduate assistant for Facilities. “We’ve got some very unique games planned, and this event will surely provide a way to recharge before that next exam. “
The Fitness program will also be hosting special classes the week before and week of finals. Don’t have enough time for exercise? You can take advantage of our HIIT (high intensity interval training) classes. These classes are just 30 minutes each and will be offered on April 27–May 6. Check the Fitness schedule for details. We’ll also be hosting a Finals Relaxation Yoga class on May 4 from 7–8 p.m. and May 6 from 8:30–9:30 p.m. This class will get you relaxed and prepared to take on any challenge. Classes are free and there is no sign up required.
