Thomas Metcalf School was recognized for our efforts aimed at building healthier student bodies with a stop on the 2011 Dairy Fully Fueled Tour on Monday, October 17, 2011.
Sponsored by the St. Louis Dairy Council and funded by local dairy farmers, the program transformed the school gym into an interactive playground educating and amusing students with physical challenges, games and nutrition know-how.
To earn a spot on the Dairy Fully Fueled roster, Ms. Finnegan and Ms. Kim went through a qualifying process last spring; demonstrating the school’s commitment to student health and wellness.
Eighteen Missouri and Illinois schools were awarded a stop on the 2011 tour, which runs October 4–27.
