Hello Student Alumni Council Redbirds!
I hope your summer has been going well, even with the constant Midwest rainstorms and warnings of Wizard of Oz-like tornadoes. I would like to start off by thanking the SAC alumni who joined our current members at the reunion in May. It was a privilege to meet our alumni and learn about the origins of Student Alumni Council and how it has grown throughout the years into the wonderful organization that we all know and love. We were able to meet the founder of SAC, put our knowledge of Illinois State to the test, and enjoy delicious food. We also watched a Redbird scrimmage in the President’s Suite, which no organization has ever done before. Ever. Thank you all again for coming and we hope to see you and more alumni at future events.
Following the reunion, SAC has been busy recruiting! Preview season is afoot, and we have been participating in the festivities by setting up a recruitment table Illinois State’s Preview Expo for new Redbirds. We are actually the only registered student organization present at the Expo! We have had a lot of excited new students stop by our table and look forward to getting to many new members to our SAC family.
Our organization is excited for the new semester to start and looks forward to keeping our alumni updated on new events and information.
