Chicago-based artist and activist Adam Farcus will speak about his work during a guest artist lecture at noon Wednesday, November 4, at University Galleries, located in Uptown Circle in Normal. The presentation is free and open to the public.
Farcus is an artist-in-residence at Illinois State’s School of Art. His recent work addresses the anxieties and fears surrounding climate change. An activist, artist, curator, feminist, and teacher, he received his B.F.A. from Illinois State University and his M.F.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
He has exhibited his work at numerous venues, including Box 13, Houston; Vox Populi, Philadelphia; the American University Museum; and A+D Gallery, Columbia College, Chicago.
