Illinois State University’s Civic Chorale will present its Ceremony of Carols holiday concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 19, at First United Methodist Church, 211 N. School St., Normal. A free-will donation will be taken at the door.
The concert will feature works by Benjamin Britten, F.M. Christiansen, John Rutter, and Charles Ives. The Civic Chorale is a unique ensemble in Illinois State’s School of Music, bringing together students and community members to perform a wide variety of vocal music. The Civic Chorale is under the direction of Professor John Koch. Piano accompaniment is provided by Patricia Foltz.
