Illinois State University’s Milner Library will be the host of the Illinois Library Association (ILA) Central Illinois Library Legislative Lunch beginning at noon February 19, at the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Normal.
The Library Legislative Lunch provides an opportunity to meet with area legislators and talk firsthand about issues affecting the library community. Featured speakers will include library leaders. Legislators who attend will be introduced.
The Central Illinois luncheon will cover libraries in and surrounding Bloomington-Normal, Peoria, Champaign-Urbana, Springfield, and Decatur. Legislative meet-ups are planned throughout the state. Library trustees, directors, and staff from public, school, and academic libraries are encouraged to attend and participate. For more information on all legislative events, visit the ILA website.
