University Professor of Biophysics Craig Gatto will present a seminar titled “Ion Selectivity of the Na,K-ATPase and a Possible Intracellular Role” at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 4, in 225 Julian Hall.
Gatto joined Illinois State as an assistant professor of cell biology and biophysics in 2000. Since that time, Gatto has received grant funding of more than $4 million from competitive sources such as the National Science Foundation and the American Heart Association. He has published 26 manuscripts in some of the top journals in the field, and serves as a permanent panel member on a prestigious National Institute study section.
