Illinois State University’s Symphonic Winds ensemble will perform in concert at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, in the University’s Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $8 for faculty/staff, and $6 for students and seniors.
The concert program will feature Funeral March by Edward Grieg; the world premiere of the depths of the sea by Derek Carter, the 2016 winner of the ISU Bands Composition Competition; Divertimento by Karel Husa; and Carmen Fantasy by François Borne, featuring flutist Pam Schuett, the 2016 ISU Concerto Aria Competition winner.
The Symphonic Winds are conducted by Martin H. Seggelke.
