The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), in conjunction with the Regional Offices of Education, is hosting a listening tour on the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
A series of meetings will be held across the state to provide overview information on ESSA and allow interested individuals to share their ideas on how this important law should be implemented. This is the first opportunity to provide input on ESSA. ISBE will be engaging with stakeholders throughout the process until full implementation. Comments, questions, and feedback can also be sent to essa@isbe.net.
Illinois State’s Center for the Study of Education Policy encourages subscribers to testify on behalf of any of our Center Initiatives, especially principal preparation and development and birth-to-grade three initiatives. Center staff can be contacted with any specific questions about testifying on behalf of an initiative.
