As the costs of living continue to rise, Illinois State University’s Career Center is helping students to find part-time employment by hosting the Part-time Job Fair from 1–4 p.m. September 6 in the Bone Student Center. This event will connect students with employers seeking to hire Redbirds for their part-time openings.
Students
Illinois State students looking for part-time jobs are encouraged to attend. Employers from local retailers, restaurants, nonprofit organizations, and other companies are attending to meet students seeking part-time employment.
Students should bring their Redbird identification card and any information they may need to complete a job application, such as a list of previous employers and their contact information, and their schedule. Students are also encouraged to dress business casual as interviews may be conducted at the fair.
Employers
Employers from the Bloomington-Normal community are encouraged to attend the fair for the opportunity to meet outstanding Redbird talent. They can participate free of charge, but registration is required. Employers should also bring any supplies needed such as tablecloth, job applications, writing utensils, etc.
View a complete list of employers registered to attend the fair by downloading the Illinois State University App available for free from the App Store or Google Play. For more information or special accommodations, contact the Career Center at (309) 438-2200.
