The Illinois State University Planetarium will present HUBBLE Vision at 7:30 p.m. Friday, September 23, and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, September 24. This is a single weekend event and will not be offered again.
Since its launch in 1990, the Hubble Space Telescope has provided incredible images in unprecedented detail to astronomers and has made an astonishing array of discoveries, from nearby objects in the solar system to the most distant galaxies at the limits of the observable universe. HUBBLE Vision takes the best and most exciting Hubble images and weaves them into an engaging story of cosmic exploration.
Following HUBBLE Vision showings, Planetarium staff will present a tour of the current evening sky under the Planetarium dome, exploring the bright stars, constellations, and planets visible from Central Illinois.
Admission to the Illinois State University Planetarium is $4 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-12 and seniors, and $2 for children ages 3-4. For more information, please call the Planetarium’s Skyline at (309) 438-5007 or visit the Planetarium website.
