Technology Professor Borinara Park was the keynote speaker at the Central Illinois Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) Society Chapter Meeting on January 9 at the Chateau Hotel and Conference Center in Bloomington.
Park presented on how analytics can be used as a managerial tool by insurance underwriting professionals. He demonstrated a process analytics technology as an effective way of improving process-based operations in the insurance industry. He also discussed various types of analytics techniques taught in the quality management analytics program at Illinois State University. He also promoted potential collaboration opportunities between the program and the Central Illinois CPCU chapter.
The Central Illinois CPCU Chapter is a community of credentialed property and casualty insurance professionals who promote excellence through continuing education in order to improve the overall performance of the insurance industry while adhering to the highest ethical standards. It is one of the biggest and most active chapters in the nation, currently with more than 1,200 members.
