Abigaelle Ngamboma and Richard Greenfield received Craig W. Reeser Scholarship and John and Susan Freed Scholarship, respectively, at the 2017 Dean’s Spring Address and Awards Ceremony.
Ngamboma, a junior of the Department of Politics and Government, is interested in community economic development. She has been involved in the Boys and Girls Club, where she mentored and assessed club members with various questions. She has interned at the Immigration Project, helping with translation and interpretation of client interaction with attorneys. She also participated in study abroad in Lima, Peru. She recently received the Political Science Minority Student Scholarship.
Greenfield, a senior of the department, has been an advocate for the minority student population at Illinois State. Among other public service works, he was actively involved in working with Connect Transit on the planning of Redbird Express route. Greenfield is also the recipient of the Political Science Minority Student Scholarship in 2017.
