Actor and Illinois State University alumnus, Gary Cole, will be inducted into the College of Fine Arts Hall of Fame at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 11, in the Center for the Performing Arts (CPA). Cole attended Illinois State University from 1974–1977, where he majored in theatre.
“College of Fine Arts Hall of Fame inductees are nominated by the faculty and staff in their discipline and then selected by the College leadership team. Gary’s induction into the College of Fine Arts Hall of Fame reflects his success not only in his acting career, but for his continued commitment to ISU and the College of Fine Arts,” Dean Jean Miller said.
Following the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, there will be a Q&A session with Gary Cole.
The event will take place in the CPA Theatre, and is free and open to the public until capacity is reached. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m. for general seating. A small reception will take place in the CPA lobby following the event.
In addition to being this year’s College of Fine Arts commencement speaker and a Hall of Fame inductee, Cole will conduct a master class with senior acting majors during his visit to campus.
