Erika Hunt, senior policy analyst at Illinois State’s Center for the Study of Education Policy, along with Darlene Ruscitti, regional superintendent, and Geralyn Lawler, principal at St. Norbert School, spent time in Washington, D.C., last week talking with policymakers about the importance of leadership development for all schools: public, private, and charter.
This trip included a meeting at the U.S. Department of Education with key staff members and a meeting at the Heritage Foundation.
