3. Red Alert
Purchasing a $50 Red Alert Pass gives you a seat in the student cheering section for all regular season home football and men’s basketball games. Plus a cool Red Alert t-shirt!
4. In the Classroom
With an average class size of 33, it’s easier to get to know the students that sit near and study with you.
5. Welcome Week
A chance for incoming students to meet other students, learn about campus resources and services, and get to know the Bloomington-Normal communities. 5 days of activities.
The week includes activities like Casino Night, Quadchella, Live Band Karaoke, Rec Rally, and Up Late @ State.
Free shuttle service on Friday night to Meijer (a local retail store) so you can stock up on snacks or room decorations.
6. Festival ISU
A fall campus tradition that features nearly 300 (RSO) and 100 community businesses and organizations.
7. Your Residence Hall Community
It starts with Move-In Week where freshmen arrive 5 days before classes begin, allowing you to get to know your Resident Assistant (RA) and one another.
8. Campus Jobs and Internships
Most student employees work an average of 10 hours a week – giving you plenty of time to bond with your coworkers.
9. Up Late @ State

10. Preview
A two-day summer orientation program required for all incoming freshmen. In addition to registering for classes, you’re going to meet a lot of future friends.
