Therapeutic recreation mentoring program provides students valuable insight into the world of health care
Dr. Rachel E. Smith and the School of Kinesiology and Recreation have launched a new mentoring initiative to help prepare Therapeutic Recreation (TR) students for important milestones in their senior year — internships and the national certification exam. After the first year of the program, both mentors and mentees report great experiences in the program.

On December 3, the College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) held its Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a research communication competition that challenges master’s and doctoral students to describe their research topic and its significance in just 3 minutes to a general audience.
Construction management team places second in ASC Commercial Construction Competition
Construction management students placed second in the 2021 Associated Schools of Construction Region III Commercial Construction Competition held in Downers Grove October 20-23, 2021.
School of IT Students teamed up to create a webpage for a local business
Eddie Becker, an Information Systems –System analytics student; Mathew Weiner ’20, a recent Computer Science graduate; Erik Wenth, a Cybersecurity student; Zach Oettle, a student of Networking and Telecommunications Management; and Ryan Skare, an Information Systems student with a focus on Web Application Development were teamed up randomly in IT 391- last summer and completed a successful project for a local business – The Recipe Girls.
