Dr. Rebekka Darner recently received the University’s highest honor in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
Illinois State Noyce Scholars used fun activities to teach middle school-age children STEM lessons last summer as part of an online series organized by the Center for Mathematics, Science, and Technology and the University of Illinois Extension Office.
Dr. Brad Christensen—a STEM specialist with Illinois State’s Center for Mathematics, Science, and Technology—has been collaborating with Rose Mabwa, a senior manager with The Community Builders, to engage Chicago youth in STEM projects.
The Office of Research and Graduate Studies (ORGS) is accepting proposals for the 2021–2022 academic year Research Lecture Series.
The four-year scholarship is available to students who were Pell Grant eligible. That allows them to pursue community-based research opportunities in science and mathematics with much of the financial burden lifted.
Project EDDIE also helps build the associated professional development needed to ensure effective use of the teaching modules.
