Cell phones across the Illinois State University campus—and across the U.S.—will activate with an emergency signal during a nationwide wireless emergency alert test.
The Illinois State University Police Department and Emergency Management are providing training sessions on how to prepare for and respond to active shooter and active aggressor situations.
Professional communicators from colleges across the state gathered at Illinois State University to exchange ideas and learn from Illinois State experts at a One-Day Crisis Communications Workshop in September.
The class is open to all University students and employees and will cover prevention and response techniques for acts of violence, including active shooter situations.
Facilities Management and Environmental Health and Safety staff members, along with Normal Fire Department personnel, will be testing building standpipes across the Illinois State University campus during the remainder of June
The campus community is encouraged to be familiar with the University’s Emergency Response plans and guidance documents.
Illinois State University will be testing ISU Emergency Alert at 2:05 p.m. Wednesday, March 7.
A test of ISU Emergency Alert will be conducted at 2:05 p.m. Thursday, October 26.
Facilities Management and Environmental Health and Safety staff members will be flushing fire hydrants across the Illinois State University campus October 23-27.
As part of Illinois State University’s ongoing emergency preparedness efforts, a Run-Hide-Fight training session will be held on Monday, October 9.
