Hazle Buck Ewing’s activist writings, as well as incoming letters from dozens of other suffragists and materials from the National Woman’s Party and Congressional Union for Woman Suffrage, are now freely available online for research and study, thanks to a monthslong digitization campaign by Milner Library and the Ewing Cultural Center.
Decorated for the holidays, Ewing Manor will be open for a community tour, with each room representing a Christmas song.
The joint tour of two of Bloomington-Normal’s favorite historic sites, Ewing Manor and David Davis Mansion, will be on December 7.
Ewing Cultural Center will once again host the free Trick-or-Treat at the Manor event from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, October 31. Trick-or-treaters can stroll through the grounds around Ewing Manor, snap some fall photos, and enjoy a sweet treat.
The Manor at Ewing Cultural Center will open for free public tours from 4-6 p.m. Mondays beginning May 6. Tours run from May to October.

Ewing Manor will once again be part of the popular Christmas at the Mansions tour on Saturday, December 8. The tour will also include the David Davis Mansion, and a private residence that will be announced the day of the tour.
Every family has a legacy, but few have the unique opportunity to celebrate generations of history in the way relatives of Davis and Hazle Buck Ewing did in September.
